PTN Media (OTC: (Nasdaq: PTNM), one of Palm's licensing companies and the same ones that helped unveil the Claudia Schiffer-edition Palm, confirmed Monday that special Palm m100 and m500 versions featuring the basketball great are available now online and soon in selected stores. Jordan has a three-year licensing deal with PTN Media. "Michael's attraction goes far beyond sports fans," says Ann Arbor, Mich.-based PTN Media president Peter Klamka. "In fact, I think the Jordan edition Palm handhelds are going to be universal. He's a great role model." The two customized editions available are the $159 Palm m100 handheld and the new upscale Palm m500 handheld priced at $425. The Palm m100 handheld comes with a black faceplate and flip cover with the famous Jordan name in silver on the front. The Palm m500 handheld has the Jordan logo on the top left-hand corner. Owners receive a powerful handheld with extensive memory, plus the ability to add sleek hardware and multimedia software, including music, eBooks and MP3 players. Both models feature several unique software applications, handpicked by Jordan, including a stock tracker, personal training tips and trivia. The two PDAs are available online at jordan.palm.com and on sportsauthority.com The new Jordan Palm will also be available at major retailers within the month as well as at Michael Jordan's stores including his restaurant in Chapel Hill, North Carolina and retail store at O'Hare International Airport. |
